Dental implants offer a stable, secure, permanent tooth-replacement option that can protect and restore your smile! If you have missing teeth, it is important to replace them as soon as possible. Leaving a gap in the smile can have several consequences, including shifting of the rest of the teeth, gum disease, jawbone damage, and more.

Missing teeth can also affect more than just your smile—they can impact your confidence, how you speak, and even the way you enjoy your favorite foods. The good news? Dental implants from our experienced dentist, Dr. Scott Bell, offer a long-lasting solution that looks, feels, and functions just like natural teeth. Dr. Bell and our team can help you restore your smile with customized treatment and beautiful results.

Am I a Candidate for Dental Implants?

If you are missing one or more teeth and are generally in good health, there’s a good chance you are a candidate for dental implants. Healthy gums and sufficient jawbone density are key, but even if you’ve experienced some bone loss an additional treatment such as bone grafting may still make implants possible.

Our practice offers both single-tooth implants and implant dentures, which can be helpful for patients who are missing all or most of their teeth on the upper dental arch, the lower arch, or both. Dr. Bell can evaluate your needs during the initial consultation and work with you to determine whether dental implants are right for you!

What Does the Dental Implant Procedure Involve?

A dental implant is a titanium post that is surgically inserted into the gums where the tooth used to be. Over a period of a few months, the post should fuse with the jawbone. Once this fusion (osseointegration) is complete, a permanent custom dental crown can be affixed to the top of the implant. After the restoration, the dental implants should look and function just like real teeth.

How Long Do Dental Implants Last?

With regular brushing, flossing, routine dental checkups, and excellent care, dental implants can last decades, perhaps even a lifetime. Dr. Bell will guide you through the post-treatment process to help protect your teeth and keep your smile healthy long-term.
